Mrs. Jean Garren Laltrello of Eagle Watch Drive Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 in Villa Rica, GA from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She was born in Centralia, Illinois on September 14, 1942 a daughter of the late Ralph Garren and Mary Louise Sanders Garren. Mrs. Laltrello attended Lincoln Christian College and was of the Christian faith. She was a retired Civil Service employee. Mrs. Laltrello was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert Martin (Bob) Laltrello, Sr. on January 13, 2007.

Mrs. Laltrello devoted much of her time to the enrichment of Rockmart. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Historical Museum located in downtown Rockmart and the Welshfest Heritage Days Festival held in March of each year. This was a project developed under her direction in 2012. Mrs. Laltrello was also a gifted artist.

Survivors include a daughter Dawn Fernander and her husband Terry; daughter Nina Laltrello and her husband Davis Adams; son Joseph Laltrello and his wife Laura; son Robert (Rob) Martin Laltrello, Jr. and his wife Kayce; grandchildren: Savannah Wall and husband Brad, Robert (Mac) Davis and wife Estefana, Garren Folts, Sierra Laltrello, Robbie Laltrello, Mary Laltrello, Paris Adams, Michelle Hartley and Jamie Fernander; numerous great grandchildren and two sisters: Janice Richardson and Jill Head.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Richardson and Rev. Andy Woodworth officiating. Eulogies will be given by members of the family. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Brad Wall, Keith Mitchell, Charlie Craig, Garren Folts, Joey Danneman and Robert Davis.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made to: Welshfest Festival, Rockmart, GA, Christian City located in Peachtree City, GA, or to Villa Rica Christian Youth, Villa Rica, GA.
