Marjorie (Margie) Fowler Wigley

Mrs. Marjorie (Margie) Fowler Wigley, age 91, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Cuthbert, GA following several months of declining health.

She was born in Jasper, GA on October 21, 1926 a daughter of the late Burt Fowler and Mamie Disheroon Fowler and was a graduate of Pickens County High School. Mrs. Wigley had been a resident of Polk County since 1966 moving here from Cobb County. She has been a member of the Bellview Baptist Church since 1966 where she taught the Beginners Sunday School Class and was a member of the Helping Hands Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph B. Wigley on February 16, 2001; sisters, Bertie Barfield and Jewel Thomas and a brother, Howard Fowler.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Paul and Susan Wigley, Morgan, GA; sister, Jolene Gravitt, Rockmart and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6. 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Carter officiating and a eulogy given by her son, Paul Wigley. Interment will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Wigley will lie instate at the church Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include: Wayne Purser, Dewayne Robinson, David Howard, Kent Bennett and Franklin Phillips.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made in Mrs. Wigley's memory to the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
