Anna Louise Williams

Mrs. Anna Louise Williams, age 70, of 93 Clay Drive, Rockmart passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 in the local nursing center following a nine month illness.


She was born in Pikeville, Tennessee on March 20, 1939 a daughter of Bazz Manery and Nola Mael Walling Manery. Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Rockmart since 1969. She was a member of the Liberty Holliness Church of Taylorsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jerry Houser, a sister, Audrey Patton and by two brothers: Arles Manery and Arthur Manery.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. J.B. Williams of Rockmart to whom she was married on September 27, 1969; children: John Michael (Kim) Williams, Rockmart, Johnnie Lewis Williams, Resaca, Barry Neil Williams, Lafayette, Sandra Dorene Williams, Calhoun, Kathy Teresa Williams, Calhoun and Patricia (Dennis) Fulbright, Hickory, N.C.; four sisters: Dorothy Massengill, Fort Oglethorpe, Viola Goins, Chattanooga, TN, Ellen Parrigon, Rossville and Linda Seals, Lafayette; two brothers: Johnny Manery, Ringgold and Ernest Manery, Ringgold; eleven grandchildren , a number of nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Bro. C.E. Popham and Bro. Jeff Crowe officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.


Pallbearers will include: Clarence Seals, Edward Williams, Ken Williams, Phil Williams, Ken Rainey and Lawson Overton. Honorary pallbearers will include: Steven Boling, Jordan Seals, Wayne Hardy and Johnny Williams.


The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. At other hours the family may be contacted at the residence of John Michael and Kim Williams, 17 Creekside Drive Rockmart.


The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Anna Louise Williams.
