Mrs. Annie Mae Reece, age 81, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 in a Rome medical center.

She was born in Rome, GA on April 2, 1938 a daughter of the late Gordon Sisson and the late Lucy Davenport Sisson. Mrs. Reece had lived the greater part of her life in the Rockmart area. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church. Mrs. Reece enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Reece on November 14, 1997; by four brothers: Alton, James, Andy and Roy Sisson; by five sisters: Clara Roadrick Ruby Smith, Beatrice Mabry, Louise Sisson and Mildred Sisson; and by a granddaughter, Shelly Hudgins.

Survivors include three daughters: Vickie (Tommy) Hudgins, Cedartown, Melissa (Joe) Steed, Rockmart and Tina (Keith) Bullard, Cedartown; son, Chuck (Anita) Reece, Cedartown; seven grandchildren , six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Tibbetts and Rev. Kenneth Boatner officiating. A eulogy will be given by her son, Chuck Reece. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Reece will lie instate at the church Sunday from 2:00 pm until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include: Ryan Hudgins, Cameron Hudgins, Bryan Reece, Cory Steed, Brandon Bullard, Nathan Jade and Andrew Lewis.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Annie Mae Reece.
