Arey Lonnie Harding

Mr. Arey Lonnie Harding, age 70, of 8 W. Third Street, Aragon, GA passed away Tuesday March 10, 2009 in a Rome Medical Center.


He was born in Douglas County, GA on March 2, 1939 a son of the late Judson Harding and Odessa Davis Harding. Mr. Harding had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County where he was a member of the Hills Creek Baptist Church. He retired in 1977 from the Goodyear Mill.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Claudiett Carter Harding to whom he was married on August 19, 1961; three sons: Mr. Frankie Harding, Aragon, Mr. Johnny Harding, Aragon and Mr. Jack Harding, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two grandchildren, six step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held Friday March 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Thaxton and Rev. Gerald McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hills Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jeremy Presley, Darrell Presley, Jr., Ashley Aiken, Timmy Gentry, Ervin Barber and Junior Carter.


The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
