Betty Jean Brinkley

Mrs. Betty Jean Brinkley, age 54, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Betty was born in Rockmart, GA on October 20, 1967, a daughter of the late Ralph Deems and the late Clara Mae Ely Deems. She had lived all of her life in Rockmart where she was a homemaker and a member of Seney Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Judy Sisson and Patricia Burnley; and two brothers: Sonny Deems and Justin Deems.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Brinkley, Rockmart; three children: Karrie Lynn Baldwin, Rockmart; Terry Lynn Brinkley, Jr. (Aubrey), Rockmart; and Heather Jean Paul (Dillon), Aragon; eight grandchildren: Kalen, Ally, Maddie, Liam, Landon, Aubrey, Aspen and Adalynn; brothers and sisters: Jerry Deems, Tommy Deems, Billy Deems, Paul Deems, Tony Deems, Jason Deems, Travis Deems, Ashley Williams, Hope Deems and Angie Sisson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Terry Brinkley, Jr., Dillon Paul, Billy Deems, Jr., Joseph Bright, Mark Deems and Allen Wisner. Honorary pallbearers will include: Paul Deems Jr. and Jason Deems.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
