Betty L. Morris

Mrs. Betty L. Morris, age 68, of Taylorsville, GA passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in a Rome medical center.

She was born in Cartersville, GA on March 31, 1951, a daughter of the late Henry Charles Roberson and the late Maybell Beatrice Arp Roberson. Mrs. Morris had lived all of her life in Taylorsville where she was a member of the Taylorsville Baptist Church. She was a former employee of the Rockmart Bank. Mrs. Morris enjoyed playing the piano and working with her flowers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Danny Roberson and by a great granddaughter, Isabella Grace Baines.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Mr. Billy E. Morris of Taylorsville to whom she was married on November 12, 1966; three daughters: Kisha Morris, Rockmart, Cecillia Robinson, Aragon and Carla Morris (Shane), Aragon; nine grandchildren: Don Baines (Brittany), Brenna Miller (Steven), Shyla Baines, Morrisia Robinson, Malaki Shirah, Rainn Shirah, Grant Morris, Shane Ingram and Sharla Ingram; four great-grandchildren: Britton Grace Baines, Weston Baines, Ella Shae Miller and Max Miller; two sisters: Brenda Roberson and Connie Harris; two brothers: Jackie Roberson and Garry Roberson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Don Baines, Grant Morris, Shane Ingram, Danny Roberson, Jr., Roy Robinson and Donald Cleveland.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
