Carol J. Wheeler

Mrs. Carol Wheeler, age 61, of 75 Carter Mountain Road, Rockmart passed away Friday, May 9th at her residence following an extended illness.


She was born in Sacramento, California on December 9, 1946 a daughter of the late Carl Alfred Jennings and Iris Artheal Hutchinson Jennings. Mrs. Wheeler had been a resident of Rockmart since 1968 where she was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Donna Jones on May 22, 2007.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Wayne Wheeler of Rockmart to whom she was married on July 3, 1965; two sons: Mr. Joe Wheeler and his wife Jamie of Aragon and Mr. Carl Wheeler and his wife Lisa of Rockmart; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10th at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Reginald Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Bill Wheeler, Gary Wood, Josh Wheeler, Jared Wheeler, Gordon Wheeler and Marshall Campbell.


The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
