Charles Jackie Roberson

Mr. Charles Jackie Roberson, age 73, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

He was born in Taylorsville, GA on September 8, 1948, a son of the late Charles Roberson and the late Mable Arp Roberson. Mr. Roberson lived all of his life in the Taylorsville and Rockmart areas. He enjoyed tractors, gardening, watching TV, and collecting oil lamps and knives. Jackie was of the Baptist faith and he retired from Engineered Fabrics where he had thirty eight years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Morris; and his brother, Rev. Danny Roberson.

Survivors include his wife, Judy McCown Roberson, Rockmart; children: Deneen Swift (Jeff), Sandy Brannon (Shane), Ladale Roberson and Donald Cleveland (Peaches); grandchildren: Cody Lindsey (Tracy), Chase Robinson (Emily), Blane Swift (Taylor), Kimbra Roberson (Brandon), Shana Bales (Cody), Alex Brannon, Morgan Brannon, Nikki Brannon, Breanna Brannon, Amanda Stokes (Steven), Lexie Cleveland, and Lindsey Cleveland; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Roberson (Kathy), two sisters: Brenda Roberson (Ricky) and Connie Harris; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Owen “Bud” Davis officiating and eulogies given by Mr. Billy Fincher and Mr. Donald Cleveland. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Danny Roberson, Chase Robinson, Steven Stokes, Donald Cleveland, Alex Brannon, Richard Stokes and Blaine Swift.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
