Charles Rena Waters, Jr.

Mr. Charles Rena Waters, Jr., age 57, of 1005 Taylorsville Macedonia Road, Taylorsville, GA passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010 following a brief illness.


Rena was born in Bartow County, GA on October 5, 1952 a son of Charles Rena Waters, Sr. and Pauline Dean Waters. He had lived the greater part of his life in Bartow County where he was a 1971 graduate of Cass High School. Mr. Waters was a former employee of Bartow County. He was a true cowboy who loved to ride and break horses as well as taking trips to Montana and Wyoming.


He was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Waters in 1967 and by his mother Pauline Waters in 2003.


Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Monica Damron and husband B.J. of Rockmart; two grandchildren: Nick and Emma Damron, Rockmart; father, Charles Rena Waters, Sr., Taylorsville and a sister, Jackie Watters, Dallas, GA.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Garrett and Rev. Danny Watters officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Darrell Watters, Kevin Watters, Mark Watters, Terry Watters, Jerry Watters and Cecil Harris.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
