Clara Belle "Cricket" Moncrief

August 13, 1933 — October 14, 2010

Mrs. Clara Belle "Cricket" Moncrief, age 77, of Loganville, GA and formerly of Cedartown passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Walton Regional Medical Center, Monroe, GA.


She was born in Floyd County, GA on August 13, 1933 a daughter of the late Lovvern Pullen and Grace Givens Pullen. Mrs. Moncrief had been a resident of Cedartown before moving to Cumming, GA and Forrest Park, GA followed by over thirty years in Chamblee, GA. While living in Chamblee she was the manager of a Golden Gallon Store where she enjoyed a large customer family. Mrs. Moncrief had also worked for Southern Bell and Winn Dixie. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Newton Moncrief, by a son, John Randall Moncrief and by a brother, Buddy Pullen.


Survivors include five children: Richard Nelson Moncrief, Atlanta; Melinda Celeste Busbee, Loganville; Melissa Amanda Menshew, Covington; Melanie Monica Busbee, Loganville and Rodney Byron Moncrief, Covington; nine grandchildren also survive.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.


Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.


The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
