Craig Hallman

Mr. Benny Craig Hallman, age 62, of Rome, GA and formerly of Rockmart passed away suddenly on Friday, January 14, 2022 in Rome.

Craig was born in Talladega, AL a son of the late Benny Heflin Hallman and the late Mary Amelia Stoffregan Hallman. He spent the early years of his life in Alabama and served in the Army National Guard for ten years. He entered the ministry and served congregations of the Church of Christ in Knoxville, TN, Deland, FL, Lexington, NC and Rockmart, GA Craig would return to the Munford, AL area before moving to Charleston, SC then to Lexington, NC again and then to Rome, GA. He enjoyed watching college football especially Auburn games and prior to ill health he enjoyed fishing. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Levertt and Mary Francis Stoffergan and Chandler Lewis and Eulla Hallman; uncles: Roy Dixon Stoffregan, Oscar Stroffergan and Gary Stoffergan

Survivors include his wife, Debra Hallman to whom he was married on September 10, 2018; children: Benny R. Hallman (Ashley), Mary Amanda Hill (Cameron), Christopher E. Hurst (Kara), Steven M. Hurst (Lucia), Jennifer N. Hurst and Tatiana A. Hurst; 16 grandchildren; sister, Kathy Stewart (Robert); cousins: Wayne Stoffergan (Sharon) and Bryan Stoffergan (Diane).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Minister Ryan McClannon officiating and eulogies delivered by family members. Interment will follow in the Stockdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Munford, AL with Minister Justin Mason officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the funeral hour on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
