Daisy Katherine Smith

Mrs. Daisy Katherine Smith, age 78, of 285 New Harmony Road, Cedartown, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at her residence.


She was born in Cleburne County, AL on April 15, 1932 a daughter of the late Ed Glass and Elvira Wilkes Glass. Mrs. Smith had lived the greater part of her life in Cedartown. She was a homemaker and a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Ernest Smith on September 7, 2008 and by eight brothers and sisters.


Survivors include two daughters: Lynne Arrington and husband Donnie, Cedartown and Cathy Bowers and husband Charles, Etters, PA; three grandchildren: Jeff Arrington, Cindy Arrington and Larissa Bowers; and two great grandchildren also survive.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Craig Hallman officiating.


Pallbearers will include: Dennis Morris, Doug Aaron, Jeff Arrington, Billy Wayne Buttram, Donnie Arrington and Charles Bowers.


The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
