Mrs. Dale Lowe, age 91, of Rome, GA passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

She was born in Pickens County, GA on October 12, 1922, a daughter of Oscar Medlin and Leola Anderson Medlin. Mrs. Lowe had lived the greater part of her life Rome where she was a member of the Rome Church of Christ .She retired from the Champion Garment Company as Plant Manager with over fifty five years of service. Mrs. Lowe loved to work in her garden, enjoyed water skiing into her seventies and was an avid bowler into her eighties.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters: Gertrude Moss, Maudelle Buttram, Hazel Grinell, Annie Ruth Jenkins and Melo Satterfield.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis Lowe of Rome to whom she was married on July 30, 1983; son, Larry McCullough, Cleveland, TN; former daughter in law, Paula McCullough, Cleveland, TN; granddaughter, Dana McCullough-Sewell and her husband Tom, New York, NY; sister, Mrs. A.W. Lawson, Jr., Jasper, GA; brother, Franklin Medlin, Bent Tree, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd Funeral Home, Rome, GA with Chaplain George Nix and Minister Steve Rogers officiating and her granddaughter, Dana McCullough-Sewell delivering a eulogy. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Al Lawson, Eddie Duncan, Michael Poole, Wesley Weaver, Roger Lowe and Mike Jenkins.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave., Rome, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made in Ms. Lowe's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 255 N. Michigan Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home of Rockmart in cooperation with Good Shepherd Funeral Home of Rome is in charge of arrangements.
