David Meeks

Mr. David Meeks, age 53, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 in a Chattanooga, TN hospital.

He was born on July 8, 1962 a son of Henry Lloyd Meeks and Shirley Mae Hulsey Meeks. David had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart attended Rockmart High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was a self employed carpenter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons: Arlan Sweat and Kevin Sweat.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Meeks; two children: Amanda Langley and David Wayne Meeks; three brothers: Dennis, Danny and Darrion Meeks; nine grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
