Donald L. (Don) Crawford

Mr. Donald L. (Don) Crawford, age 78, of 2460 Eastern Avenue, Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in Wellstar Cobb Hospital, Austell, GA following an extended illness.


He was born in Titusville, PA on February 4, 1930 a son of Floyd H. Crawford, Sr. and Elizabeth Mae Stevenson Crawford. Mr. Crawford had been a resident of the Rockmart area for the past four years moving here from Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and was a life member of the VFW in Titusville, PA.. Mr. Crawford was a self employed contractor and was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Mr. Floyd H. Crawford, Jr..


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy L. Crawford to whom he was married on April 19, 1969; one daughter, Mrs. Marla J. Crawford Hert and her husband Walter D. Hert, Jr.; three grandchildren: Ashley Hert, Jesse Hert and Marlana Hert all of Rockmart; one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Shaffer, Titusville, PA.


In accordance with Mr. Crawford?s wishes he was cremated.


Memorial services will be arranged at a later date.
