Doris Smith Hilderbrand

Mrs. Doris Smith Hilderbrand, age 77, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 in a Rome medical center.

A native of Atlanta, GA she was born on July 17, 1938 a daughter of Miles Henry Smith and Adelaide Adair Smith. In 1991 she and her husband Raymond moved to Rockmart, GA from Atlanta. She was a communicant of St. Marys Catholic Church of Rome, GA. Mrs. Hilderbrand enjoyed quilting, working in her garden, cooking for her family ,reading books and researching family history . Prior to moving to Rockmart Mrs. Hilderbrand worked for many years at Rich's in downtown Atlanta as a sales consultant.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Hilderbrand, Rockmart to whom she was married on December 7, 1957; two daughters: Liz Hilderbrand, Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Karen Brawner, Dallas, GA; son, Robert Hilderbrand, Rockmart; six grandchildren: Adam Adair Seiz, Charles Stanley Seiz, Benjamin Lake Hilderbrand, Jacob Stanley Hilderbrand, Amanda June Adams Brawner and April Katelyn Brawner; three great grandchildren: Hadley Katelyn Lankford, Ansley Hayden Herrier and Wyatt James Hilderbrand; two sisters: Juanita Ruben, McLean, VA and Ellen Smith, Dallas, TX.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held in the Westview Cemetery of Atlanta, GA on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Adam Seiz, Ben Hilderbrand, Jake Hilderbrand, Robert Hilderbrand and Tim Brawner.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
