Dorothy Mae Bowman, age 95, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Chuck Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart,GA. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Church of Christ in Baltimore for over 51 years, a member of Central Church of Christ in San Jose, CA and has been attending Macland Road Church of Christ since moving to the area in 2008. She and her husband, Leonard owned and operated their own restaurant named The Ambassador before retiring. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Bowman and daughter, Susan Clare Barnes. She is survived by Sister, Mildred Elsberry, Rockmart, GA; Nieces, Jettie Smelcer of Powder Springs, GA and Julie Urbaniak of Powder Springs, GA; Nephew, David Craton of Kennesaw, GA; Great Niece, Dawn Wilson; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 Great Greats.
