Edna Mae Swann Bollinger

Mrs. Edna Mae Swann Bollinger, age 72, of 529 Pine Street Cedartown, GA passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 in a Rome Medical Center.

She was born in Bartow County, GA on October 11, 1938 a daughter of the former Ruby Atkinson and Virgil Brewer. Mrs. Bollinger had lived in the Cedartown area for the past three years moving from Rockmart where she had lived the greater part of her life. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church of Cedartown. Mrs. Bollinger was preceded in death by her first husband, Bud Swann on June 15, 1968, by her second husband, Billy Bollinger on July 3, 1991; by a daughter, Vickie Darlene Swann; by a granddaughter, Anisa Holtzclaw and a great grandson, Avery Brantley.

Survivors include two daughters: Earline Holtzclaw, Cedartown and Barbara Brantley, Rockmart; one step son, Richard Lee Smith, Rome; 9 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith, Rev. Rodger Whorton and Rev. Lannie Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Shannon Brantley, Eric Brantley, Jonathan Holtzclaw, Billy Joe Bradford, Bobby Thurman, Ricky Rangel, Alex Hodge,Jeffrey Holtzclaw and Jerry Hudgins.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
