Frances Tucker

Mrs. Frances Tucker, age 85, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Silver Creek, GA on April 22, 1928 a daughter of the late James Lindsey and Addie Pearl Kelly Lindsey. Mrs. Tucker had lived the greater part of her life in the Rockmart and Aragon area. She was a member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church and was a former employee of Integrated Products of Aragon. Mrs. Tucker had also worked as a private sitter. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending the Golden Age Club at First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyal C. Tucker on January 26, 1985, by a son, Harold C. Tucker on May 27, 1995, by an infant sister, an infant brother and by three brothers: Weldon Lindsey, Edward Lindsey and Hoyle Lindsey.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Baldwin, Rockmart; two sons: Steve Tucker, Coosa and Larry Tucker, Rockmart; five grandchildren: Rodney Baldwin, Steve Baldwin, Jason Baldwin, Chad Tucker and Rhonda Turner; a number of great and great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper and Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Rodney Baldwin, Steve Baldwin, Jason Baldwin, Chad Tucker, Alex Baldwin and Jimmy Cason.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Frances Tucker.
