Janice Eileen Stephenson

Mrs. Janice Eileen Stephenson, age 51, of 750 Baldwin Road, Rockmart passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her residence following a lengthy illness.


She was born in Paulding County, GA on May 12, 1958 a daughter of the late Augustus Eugene Dunn and Mary Vinnie Shepard Dunn. Mrs. Stephenson had lived all of her life in the Rockmart area and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. She had been employed by Morse Automotive of Cartersville and Packaging Products of Rome.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Carl Anthony ?Buddy? Stephenson of Rockmart to whom she was married on October 1, 1999; five children: Jocelyn Robinson, Rockmart, Bobby Waldrop, Rockmart, Ellie Caldwell, Rockmart, John Stephenson, Rockmart and Melissa Strickland, Shannon; three sisters: Marilyn Edwards, Rockmart, Edna Haney, Rockmart and Joyce Williams, Rockmart; four brothers: Alfred Dunn, Youngstown, FL, Eddie Dunn, Rockmart, Larry Dunn, Rockmart and Jerry Dunn, Rockmart; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tony Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.


Pallbearers will include: Kevin Dunn, Wayne Dunn, Paul Dunn, Junior Bollen, Michael Haney, Jan Cannon, Codey Stephenson and Josh Smith.


The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
