Janice Fincher

Mrs. Janice Marie Reddish Fincher, age 66, of Aragon, GA passed away suddenly Sunday, January 12, 2014 upon arrival to a Rome medical center.

She was born on March 4, 1947 a daughter of John Reddish and Ruby Trammell Reddish. Mrs. Fincher had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County where she was a member of the Wimberly Hill Baptist Church. She loved to garden, spend time outside and make trips with the Golden Age Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Edna Folsom.

Survivors include five children: Donna Garrett and her husband Mark, Rockmart, David Fincher and his wife Marie, Cedartown, Darren Fincher and his wife Laura, Cartersville, Daphany Newborn and her husband Timothy, Polk City, Florida and Carla McComb and her husband Marcus, Rome; two sisters: Audrey Crocker, Augusta and Linda Gail Clark, Huntsville, Alabama; one brother, John Reddish, Cedartown; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wimberly Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Parker and Rev. Clifton Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Mark Garrett, David Fincher, Darren Fincher, Timothy Newborn, Marcus McComb and Stevie Coker. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Janice Marie Reddish Fincher.
