Janice Tant

Mrs. Janice Tant, age 63, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 in a Rome medical center.

Janice was born in Rockmart, GA on August 11, 1952, a daughter of B.F. Jackson and Catherine McDowell Jackson. She attended Rockmart High School, was a member of the Springdale Baptist Church and had been an employee of Engineered Fabrics.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Dwight Jackson and Michael Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin K. (Butch) Tant; son, Rodney Tant; sister, Brenda Hembree and husband James; brother, Jeff Jackson ;sister in law, Barbara Jackson all of Rockmart; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The family has requested that flowers please be omitted and those desiring make memorial gifts to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256 or the Humane Society.
