Janice Wolfe Richardson

Mrs. Janice Wolfe Richardson, age 62, of 18 Clarkwood Road, Rockmart passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at her residence following a lengthy illness.


She was born in Polk County, GA on November 18, 1946 a daughter of Paul Ladelle Wolfe and Sarah Elizabeth Wood Wolfe. Mrs. Richardson was a 1966 graduate of Cartersville High School and a member of the Morning View Baptist Church. She was employed for 14 years with Integrated Mills followed by 17 years of employment with Spring Industries of Cartersville where she worked as a lab technician.


She was preceded in death by her parents, by a sister, Freda Coe and by three brothers: Norman Wolfe, Doyle Wolfe and Roy Ladelle Wolfe.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Jerry H. Richardson of Rockmart to whom she was married on June 26, 1966; two sons: Mr. Bryan Richardson and wife Mandy of Rockmart and Mr. Kevin Richardson and wife Suzan of Rockmart; three brothers: Mr. Donald Wolfe, Rockmart, Mr. Cecil Wolfe, Rockmart and Rev. Jerry Wolfe, Madison, GA; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Morning View Baptist Church with Rev. Hoyt Lewis and Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.


Pallbearers will include: Mason Richardson, Zach Richardson, Dallas Snider, Johnny Garrett, Royce Coe and Greg Lewis.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
