Jeanette Clark

Mrs. Jeannette Clark, age 85, of Rockmart, GA passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 31, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

She was born in the Burnt Hickory Community of Paulding County, GA on July 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Robert Lee Ferguson and Ruby Arizona Burt Ferguson. Mrs. Clark had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart where she was a homemaker and a member of the Morning View Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, gardening and taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leroy Clark on May 15, 1993 and by two sisters: JoAnn Barrett and Ava Lee Irwin.

She is survived by six children: Ricky Clark, Rockmart, Rita Faulkner (Scott), Orlando, FL, Darleen Clark, Rockmart, Lisa Clark, Mineral Bluff, GA, Jan Waters (Steve), Aragon, and Michael Clark and his fiance Jennifer Chambless, Euharlee; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, James Ferguson (Bonnie), Dallas; sister, Evelyn Lenhart, Cedartown and sister-in-law Dorothy Weaver (Junior), Rockmart.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Chaplain George Nix, Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis and Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Donald Lester officiating.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and include: David, Stephan and Matthew Faulkner, Tyler Clark, Josh Evans and Chris Holland. James Ferguson and Matthew Hulsey will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
