John Earl Scrivens

Mr. John Earl Scrivens, age 72, of Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his residence following several months of illness.

He was born in Wisconsin on March 13, 1941. Mr. Scrivens had been a resident of Polk County since 1978. Prior to ill health he worked as a self employed finish carpenter and he loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Scrivens, Aragon; son, Christopher Scrivens, Ft. Jackson, S.C.; and three step sons: Joseph Dover, Cartersville, Jonathan Wayne Dover, Taylorsville and Elvis Dover, Aragon.

Graveside services will be held at the Scrivens Family Cemetery in Aragon on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with family and friends delivering eulogies.
