Kristi Wallace Sanders

Mrs. Kristi Wallace Sanders, age 51, of Oak Street Aragon passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at her residence following several months of illness.

Kristi was born in Rockmart, GA on December 20, 1960 daughter of Mack Edward Wallace, Jr. and Mary Kate Woodward Wallace. She had lived all of her life in Polk County and was a 1979 graduate of Rockmart High School. Kristi was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and an employee of the Meggitt Corporation in Rockmart. She was preceded in death by her father on February 14, 2012.


Survivors include her husband, Wayne Sanders of Aragon to whom she was married on January 30, 1999; three children: Mindi Sauceda and husband Timmy, Piedmont, Al, Rodney Sanders and wife Rosana, Aragon and Amy Liggons and husband Mike, Aragon; mother, Kate Baker, Silver Creek; brother, Scottie Wallace and wife Sandi, Cartersville; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Ingram and Rev. Stevie Waddell officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Michael Shelton, Dennis Shelton, Calvin Carroll, Brandon Wallace, Jason Woodward and Jessie Hicks. Employees of Meggitt will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
