Larry Dean Barnette

Mr. Larry Dean Barnette, age 70, of Taylorsville, GA passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Polk County, GA on October 1, 1943 a son of Herbert Clay Barnette and Annie Mae Childers Barnette. Mr. Barnette had lived the greater part of his life in the Bartow and Polk County area. He had worked in the grading construction business for many years. Mr. Barnette was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Lucrisa Smith, Jackson Hole, Wyoming; two sons: Todd Barnette, Cartersville and Tony Barnette, Taylorsville; four brothers: Preston Barnette, Randy Barnette, Clyde Barnette and Ricky Barnette; three sisters: Joyce Cagle, Wanda Gentry and Syble Roberson; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Dabbs officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Clay Barnette, Darrell Cagle, Dustin Nally, Kristopher Barnette, Brandon Barnette and Luke Jones.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
