Mrs. Linda Hope Wilson, age 74, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on October 12, 1942 a daughter of the late Zachary Laney and Bertie Hulsey Laney. Mrs. Wilson had lived all of her life in Rockmart and was a member of the Springdale Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church, gospel music and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Wilson and by three brothers: Johnny, Clyde and Evan Laney.

Survivors include four daughters: Melissa Smith, Manhattan, Kansas, Cynthia Lee, Rockmart, Sharon Wilson, Athens, GA and Patricia Reeves, Rockmart; sister, Dorothy Laney Stephens Puckett, Austell; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McDowell and Rev. Barry Stephens officiating. Eulogies will be given by a daughter, Cynthia Lee and sister, Dorothy Puckett. Interment will follow in the Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Glenn Lee, Justin Wilson, Blake Wilson, Jacob McGuire, Bobby Cosby, "Pan Pan" Middlebrooks, Jamie Harrell and Eric Rossetti. Honorary pallbearers will include Isaiah "Zay Zay" Wilson, Sidney Wilson and Matthew Harrell.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Linda Hope Wilson.
