My Dearest Malachi

From the moment I first saw you
You were treasured in my heart
The feelings of you will never part
I'd love to feel every kick you gave
Oh, how I wish I could see you wave

I wasn't sure of your name
But God knew just the same
You came too early in that ambulance van
God had a different plan

Watching you struggle to enter this world
God didn't want you to suffer not now, not ever
I'm hurting with grief because you're not here
I'll try my hardest not to fear
With tears of sadness flowing down my face
I know you're in a better place

We were blessed to hold you for a short time
The memory of you will always be mine
Seeing your beautiful face and counting your fingers and toes
Just know the thoughts of you will never grow old

I'm trying to be strong and fight back my tears
My emotions of you lie so dear
Say hello to Grandma and Uncle John
I know they're waiting, it won't be long

Knowing you're safe above the clouds
The joy of you screams out loud
Mommy may cry from time to time
Just knowing you'll be safe and I'll be fine

Until the Lord blesses us to meet again, you will forever be in my heart
Stay sweet my little angel

Bible verse: Galatians 1:15 ERV

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Revelations 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former
things have passed away.

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
