Louise Roberson

Mrs. Louise Roberson ,age 82, of Douglasville, GA and formerly of Rockmart passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in a Douglasville nursing center following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Van Wert, GA on March 20, 1932 a daughter of the late Samuel Massey and Stella Womack Massey. Mrs. Roberson had been a resident of Douglasville for the past eleven years moving there from Rockmart. She had worked in the textile industry for many years retiring from Shaw Industries in Dallas, GA. Mrs. Roberson was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, William A. Oglivie and Olin Roberson; by a son, Michael Floyd; by a daughter, Sandra Denise Floyd; by a brother, Gene Massey and by two sisters: Janet Wigley and Betty Jo McClendon.

Survivors include a son, Mark Floyd, Douglasville; a daughter, Jackie Turner, Rockmart; a sister, Marjorie "Boots" Morgan, Aragon; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren , three great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Wigley officiating. Interment will follow in the Hills Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jarrod Floyd, Gabriel Floyd, Kevin Morgan, Shannon Childers, Michael Krontz and Jeff Morgan.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
