Margie Nell Bryan

Mrs. Margie Nell Bryan, age 69, of 1244 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown,GA passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 in a Rome Medical Center following a brief illness.


She was born in Cobb County, GA on August 17, 1939 a daughter of the late Lloyd Vinson Ferrell and Martha Estelle Bramlett Ferrell. Mrs. Bryan had lived all of her life in Polk County and graduated from Rockmart High School. She was a member of the Seney Baptist Church and had been employed as a nurses aid with Polk General Hospital and a number of the local nursing homes. Mrs. Bryan had also been employed with the Enmark Convenience Store of Cedartown.


She is survived by two sons: Mr. Lance Glenn, Cedartown and Mr. Chesley Glenn of Ocala, FL; one brother, Mr. Kenneth Ferrell, Ellijay, GA; three sisters: Mrs. Grace Borders, Rockmart, Mrs. Martha Stubblefield, Deerfield, Ohio and Mrs. Wanda Lindsey, Cedartown; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a special niece, Renita White.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. James Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Robert Brooks, Ricky Brooks, Ronnie Borders, Jason Glenn, Kevin Prewett and Francis Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will include: Adam, Joseph, Arron and Cody Griffin.


The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made in memory of Mrs. Bryan to the family.
