Mrs. Mary Jane Jackson, age 90, Dallas, GA passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in Haralson County, GA on November 23, 1923 a daughter of the late John Edward (J.E.) Spain and Missouri Carolina Garner Spain. Mrs. Jackson had lived most of her life in Paulding County where she was a homemaker and a member of the Highway 101 Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Jackson in 1992, by an infant son, James Cecil Jackson in 1946 , by a daughter, Sandra Jackson Poole in 2008 and by four brothers: Jessie, Wesley, Johnny and Arvel Spain.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Jackson and his wife Michele, Hiram, GA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Ministers Roger Davis and Rick Shumpert officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Haralson County, GA.

Pallbearers will include: Robert Spain, Danny Spain, Darrell Jackson, Doug Rogers, Joe Street, Kenneth Moore, Kenneth Hicks and Eugene McCallie. Justin Jackson and Ralph Thomason will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will gather in the Fellowship Room of the Rockmart Church of Christ following the commital service at the cemetery to share a meal together.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mary Jane Jackson.
