Mary Tibbitts Hall

Mrs. Mary Tibbitts Hall, age 88, of 948 Atlanta Highway, Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 following a sudden attack suffered at her residence.


She was born in Paulding County, GA on April 13, 1919 a daughter of the late Maston Elishew Tibbitts and Frances Victoria Bowman Tibbitts. Mrs. Hall had been a resident of Polk county since 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Warner L. Hall, Sr. on April 1, 1997; by two sons: Mack Hall in 1951 and Emory Hall 1965.


Survivors include a son, Mr. W. L. Hall, Jr. and his wife Bess of Rockmart; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Hall Twilley and her husband Randell of Cartersville; two brothers: Mr. Jack Tibbetts, Dallas and Mr. Woodrow Tibbetts, Marietta; one sister, Mrs. Mae Hayes, Hiram; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services were held Friday, March 7th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Hershell Tibbitts officiating. Interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery.


Active pallbearers included: Dennis Hilyer, Scott Hilyer, Steven Stokes, Richard Stokes, Ken Ferguson and Charles Mercer. Honorary pallbearers included: Brad Martin, Allen Ferguson, Dillion Toole, Greg Hilyer and Ricky Mercer.


The Alvis Miller & son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
