Michael Wayne Brumit

Mr. Michael Wayne Brumit, age 45, of 205 Hightower Falls Road, Cedartown, GA passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 in a Rome Health Care Center.


He was born in Rome, GA on October 20, 1964 a son of Larry Brumit and Doris Meers Brumit. Mike had lived all of his life in Polk County, was a 1983 graduate of Rockmart High School and a member of the Rockmart Church of Christ. Prior to his illness Mike was employed by Piggly Wiggly Grocery of Rome. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Brumit on February 18, 2009.


Survivors include his father, Larry Brumit, Cedartown; three sisters: Lori Forrister, Rockmart, Martie Carter, Kingston and Margie Brumit, Cedartown; two nieces Anna Forrister and Ashley Carter and one nephew Adam Brumit.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in Polk Memory Gardens with Minister Craig Hallman officiating.


Pallbearers will include: Paul Roundtree, Tim Robinson, Eddie Meers, Patrick Meers, Larry Meers, David Gowens and David Mitchell.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


The family has requested that flowers please be omitted and contributions be made to the American Brain Tumor Foundation, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines , Illinois 60018.
