Nathan Emory "Nate" Barfield

Nathan Emory Barfield, better known as “Nate”, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Nathan grew up in Aragon where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding, and working outside. After attending Rockmart High School, he served in the US Navy from 2003-2007. Nathan enjoyed watching football as he was a Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers fan. He was an avid movie watcher. Nathan loved to joke around with his family and friends, listen to music and experiment with cooking. He was a proud father of two children, Leali and Reid Barfield. He enjoyed working on projects with Reid around the house and going to Universal Studios with them on vacation.

Nathan was preceded by his grandfather, Emory Wilbur Barfield, and grandmother, Bertie Fowler Barfield.

Nathan is survived by his children, Leali, and Reid Barfield (Ashley); father, Steven Barfield; sister, Stephanie Motes.

Memorial services for Nathan will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Live Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Jordan, ThM, officiating.
