Nell Rowell

Mrs. Nell Rowell, age 79, of 40 Baldwin Road Rockmart passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Haralson County, GA on April 8, 1930 a daughter of the late Arthur Weaver and Carrie Driskell Weaver. Mrs. Rowell was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buron Jackson ?Jack? Rowell in September of 1961, by a son Michael ?Mikey? Rowell, a daughter, Susan Rowell and by a brother, Aaron Weaver.

She is survived by two daughters: Paulette Hitchcock, Geneva, AL and Diane Meade, Jacksonville, FL; two sons: Johnny Rowell and Bobby Rowell both of Rockmart; three sisters: Mary Ella Segars, Cartersville, I.V. Wade, Buchanan and Sylvia Arp, Cedartown; one brother, Junior Weaver, Rockmart; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Dunn and Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Lee Rowell, Shawn Carter, Mack Deems, Devin Goss, Billy Ingler and Terry Hitchcock.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
