Opal Inez Biggers

Mrs. Opal Inez Biggers, age 94, of Rockmart, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 in a Rome medical center.


She was born in Carroll County, GA on November 5, 1917 a daughter of the late Edward Millard Stitcher and Zora Ellen Melissa Craft Stitcher. Mrs. Biggers had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart where she was a former employee of the Goodyear Mill , a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis ?Luke? Biggers, by a granddaughter, Michelle Biggers and by two sisters: Dorothy Lee Morgan and Faye Sigers.


Survivors include her three children: Wayne Biggers, Conroe, TX, Ellen Cain, Rockmart and Jane Biggers, Rockmart; one sister, Margie Lemming, Calhoun; four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Northview Cemetery with Rev. Royce Campbell officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Neal Cain, Phil Cain, Matt Cain, Blake Cain, Charles Biggers and Gavin Borders.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
