R. C. Graham

Mr. R.C. Graham, age 83, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Cherokee County, AL on September 25, 1932, a son of the late Reather Redia Graham and the late Gertrude Lewis Graham. He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart where he was owner and operator of Graham Construction for over 25 years. Mr. Graham was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving with Co "F", 122nd Inf. Regt. 48th Div. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his garden. Mr. Graham was a member of the Cedartown Church of God who loved his church family. He had a special love for his grandchildren and his dog, Penny.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Dustin Lee Rogers; four sisters: Alter Jennings, Lucy Owens, Cora Lee Owens and Roxy Graham; three brothers: Hershel Graham, Robert Graham and Harvey Graham.

Survivors include his three children: Lagina Graham Green, Rockmart, Dennis Graham, Ephesus, GA and Scott Graham and his wife, Daphne, Rockmart; six grandchildren: Hayden Graham, Kaitlyn Graham, Matthew Graham, Jason Graham, Hailey Brown and Jesse Rogers; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia Morgan, Aragon and Alice Cordell, Woodstock; brother, Gene Graham, Sharpsburg, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Moates and Rev. Delton Harne officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jesse Rogers, Hayden Graham, Matthew Graham, Jason Graham, Danny Taylor, Jr. and Eric Morgan.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. R.C. Graham.
