Ravon "Rip" Carron Deems

Mr. Ravon ?Rip? Carron Deems, age 43, of Dogwood Lane Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 following a lengthy illness.


He was born in Rome, GA on January 31, 1968 a son of Ravon Deems and Betty Goss Deems. Rip was a 1987 graduate of Rockmart High School and a member of the Cedartown Church of God. He had lived all of his life in Polk County and prior to ill health had been an employee of the Coca Cola Company.


Survivors include two daughters: Ariel Deems, Rockmart and Ricelyn Deems, Cedartown; parents: Ravon and Betty Deems, Aragon; brother, Wendell Deems, Rome; sisters: Belinda Paris and husband Brad, Villa Rica and Connie Prince and husband William, Rockmart; cousin, Lynn Mullinax, Rockmart; niece and nephew: Hayden Prince and Beth Paris.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in the Arrington Chapel Cemetery, Cherokee County, AL.

Pallbearers will include: Lynn Mullinax, Kyle Miller, Dink Wilkes, Rollie Dearborn, John Brown and Chris Alvey.


The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
