Rev. Earl Dean Robinson

Rev. Earl Dean Robinson, age 85, of Aragon, GA, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Mr. Robinson was born in Aragon, GA on August 2, 1937, a son of the late Clarence Odell “Mutt” Robinson and the late Lula Mae Cash Robinson. Dean had lived all of his life in Aragon. Rev. Robinson was a former pastor at Silver Creek Missionary Baptist Church and Youngs Grove Baptist Church. He also preached just about every weekend at Collinsville Trade Day Flea Market. He was also known there for his birds that he enjoyed through the years. Dean was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtice Gentry Robinson; son, Earl Anthony “Tony” Robinson; grandson, Corey Wayne Godfrey; sister, Jennie Marie Forsyth; brothers, Ralph Robinson, Rev. Carl Robinson, and Rev. Donald “Bo” Robinson.

Survivors include his children: Charlotte Godfrey and her husband, Mike of Rockmart, Curtis Robinson and his wife, Pam of Aragon, Tammy Wilson and her husband, Mike of Aragon, and Kevin Robinson and his wife, Stephine of Aragon; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Dell Robinson of Taylorsville and Ronnie Robinson of Aragon; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Matthew Wilson, Brent Robinson, Kyle Robinson, Hunter Robinson, Hunter Forsyth, and Lee Forsyth.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
