Rhonda Lynn Cook

***Due to inclement weather the funeral service for Mrs. Rhonda Lynn Cook has been rescheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.***

Mrs. Rhonda Lynn Cook, age 53, of Aragon, GA passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in a Rome medical center following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on September 26, 1964, a daughter of William Edward Roach and Shelvie Robinson Roach. Mrs. Cook had lived all of her life in Polk County where she was a graduate of Rockmart High School class of 1982 and a member of Friendly Baptist Church of Cedartown for twenty two years. She loved her family and always enjoyed traveling to the beach and spending time with family. Rhonda was employed by Walmart for ten years before becoming an employee of the Department of Family and Children Services where she worked for ten years.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Edward Roach on October 18, 2015.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Cook of Aragon, to whom she was married on June 7, 1986; daughter, Brittany Smith and her husband Corey, Rockmart; son, Adam Cook, Aragon; two grandchildren: Maddie and Isaac Smith, Rockmart and her mother, Shelvia Roach, Aragon.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Burdette, Rev. Danny Tucker and Rev. Randy Vines officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockmart.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as active and honorary pallbearers and are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 PM on Sunday. Active Pallbearers: Sonny Hendrix, Tim Ingle, Brent Edwards, David Cupp, Kenneth Hulsey, Joseph Landrum, Matt Miller and Tim Deems. Honorary Pallbearers: Corey Ingle, Shane Nale, Lonnie Nale, Dennis Foor, Chris Pruitt, David Ingle, Danny Elliott and Roy Thaxton.
