Richard Wallace

Mr. Richard William Wallace was born on July 9, 1937 in Atlanta, GA and died on December 15, 2020. He passed peacefully in his home with family around him.

He was preceded in death by his only daughter, Helen Denise Wallace, two brothers, Douglas Lynn Wallace and Larry Wayne Wallace, his mother, Theresa Brock Wallace, his father, Walter A. Wallace, Sr. and a brother in law, Joel A. Chandler.

He is survived by three siblings: Amma Jean Chandler, Marietta, Louise Wallace Suffridge and husband Ken, Rockmart and Walter Alvin Wallace, Jr. and wife Charlene King Wallace, Winston; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He spent many years working as a butcher at his father's grocery store, Brock and Wallace and also worked for Big Star Groceries. Most of his career was spent as an over the road truck driver.

At Richard's request he will be cremated and a private graveside service with family attending will be held at a later date.
