Rosa Cox Moore

Mrs. Rosa Nell Cox Moore, age 69, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Rosa was born on April 19, 1952 in Cedartown, GA, to her parents: Harold L. Cox and Mary Frances Anglin Cox. Mrs. Moore lived all her life in Rockmart and was a graduate of Rockmart Highschool in 1970. Rosa was a member of Rockmart Church of Christ, where she had taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing. She spent 25 years with Rockmart Band Booster Club. She was the booster club treasurer for 17 years and was a former president. Rosa enjoyed traveling with the band on many occasions and for many years, she was in charge of the Rockmart Bands community birthday calendar. Mrs. Moore worked for Smith Lockwood Drugs for 26 years before retiring. Rosa loved her children and her grandchildren dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Moore; sister, Marion Cox Jackson; brother, Jim Cox and nephew, Alan Jackson.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth “Ken” H. Moore; sons: Gabe Moore (Adriana), Jed Moore (Devon), Dan Moore (Jennifer); sister, Helen Cox, and her 7 grandchildren: Trent (Meghan), Nicole, Megan, James, Deacon, Daniel and Ava.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Moore will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with a eulogy delivered by her husband, Kenneth Moore and Minister Justin Mason officiating. Graveside services will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery with Minister Josh Clevenger officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Gabe Moore, Jed Moore, Dan Moore, Trent Moore, Matt Moore and Scott Parris.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Rockmart High School Band in loving memory of Mrs. Moore.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Rosa Nell Cox Moore.
