Timothy Joe (Tim) Staton

Mr. Timothy Joe (Tim) Staton, age 57, of Rome, GA passed away Friday, August 26, 2106 in a Rome nursing center.

Tim was born in Atlanta, GA on May 30, 1959 a son of the late Howard C. (Buddy) Staton and Betty Sue Aycock Staton. He attended Peachtree High School. The family lived in the Doraville area before moving to Acworth and then to Rome in 1988. Tim was affectionately known as "Shorty" by many of his friends.

Survivors include a sister, Beverly Smith (Don), Rome; two brothers: Carly Staton, Armuchee and Bill Staton (Debra), Summerville and a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Jonathan Cook, Rome.

Memorial graveside services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the East View Cemetery with Minister Michael Farris and Mr. Mark Hilbert officiating.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
