William Franklin "Bill" Weaver

Mr. William “Bill” Franklin Weaver, age 86, of Rome, GA and formerly of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Mr. Weaver was born on January 13, 1936 in Haralson County, GA, to his parents: Frank Weaver and Eunice Harrell Weaver. Bill worked for Rome Bank & Trust, JFG and Montgomery Insulation before retiring from The Polk County Sheriff's Office. Bill was a proud United States Army Veteran, where he served for almost 3 years and earned The National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Weaver was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Delle Weaver; brother-in-law, Jerry Lane and nephew, Jeff Lane.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his loving wife, Ima Jean Weaver of Rome, GA; daughter, Yvette Weaver Freeman (Drew) of Silver Creek, GA; son, William Dillard Weaver (Sandi) of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren: Josh Casey (Hart) of Hendersonville, TN, Amanda Winters (Dustin) of Rome, GA, Jessica Weaver Carver (Brian) of Acworth, GA, Austin Freeman (Hannah) of Rome, GA; great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Sayer and Madilyn Winters, Cora Roberts, Dot Casey, Wesley and James Freeman, Chase Carson and Brionna Carver; sisters: Sue Weaver, Beth Lane, Judy Banks (Lin) and Trica Thompson; and special nephews: Whitney Weaver and Adam Thompson.

In keeping with the families wishes, a private funeral service will be held for Mr. Weaver.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Josh Casey, Austin Freeman, Dustin Winters, Adam Thompson, Whitney Weaver and Scott Chandler.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Victory Baptist Church Building Fund in loving memory of Mr. Weaver.
