Ada Holder Hunt

Mrs. Ada Holder Hunt, age 94, of 14 Tower Village, Rockmart passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 in a Rome Medical Center following a brief illness.


She was born in Polk County, GA on March 6, 1915 a daughter of the late Andrew Holder and Martha Elizabeth Dudley Holder. Mrs. Hunt had lived the greater part of her life in the Polk and Paulding County area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Rockmart. Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lewis L. ?Rabbit? Hunt in December of 1971, by a son Dewayne Hunt in 1969 and by two brothers and seven sisters.


Survivors include her two daughters: Mrs. Vera Tenney and Mrs. Linda Williams both of Rockmart; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church of Rockmart with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Ricky Tenney, Lee Tenney, Cody Tenney, Brent Howell, John Howell and Corey Howell. Ty Tenney will serve as an honorary pallbearer.


The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
