Mrs. Aline Reeves Tanner, age 88, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Thursday, September 10th, 2026.

Aline was born on September 14, 1937, to the late Allen Reeves and Verna Lee Powell Reeves. She spent the greater part of her life in Bibb County before making her home in Taylorsville for the past four years.

Aline retired from the Bibb County School System, where she dedicated many years to a career in school nutrition. She was a wonderful cook and found joy in the simple things she loved most. She was an Elvis fan, enjoyed collecting Barbies and thrift store shopping, and loved spending time at the beach with a good book in hand.

Above all, Aline cherished her family. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved and will be remembered for the warmth and love she shared with them.

In addition to her parents, Aline was preceded in death by her husband, Brantley Tanner; her brothers, Lee Reeves, Homer Reeves, and James Reeves; and her sisters, Artha Evans, Pauline Wise, and Addie Rea.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Rhodes (Cary); her son, Glenn Tanner (Linda); her 5 granddaughters, Tracy Rhodes (Knox Withers), Kelly Gaines (Jeremy), Amy Mathis (Brett), Brittany Tanner, and Ashley Tanner; her 13 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Wilton Reeves. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Tanner will be held on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026, at noon in The Byron City Cemetery.
