Mr. Andrew Jackson Cain, Jr., age 84, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday morning, September 2, 2026.

Mr. Cain was born in San Francisco, CA, on May 17, 1942, to the late Andrew Jackson Cain, Sr. and Marie Guadalupe Leyba Cain. He was a resident of Rockmart for the past 45 years and was a member of Rockmart Second Baptist Church. Mr. Cain was a member and Past Master of Rockmart Masonic Lodge No. 97 F&AM and proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid University of Florida Gators fan and especially loved his beloved dog, Stitch

In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his brothers, Neal Cain, and David Cain; and his sisters, Shirley Cain, Diane Cain, and Sandra Cain Solis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Cain, to whom he married on July 2, 1981; his children, Dana Maxwell Costlow (Scott), Jay Maxwell, and Sherri Lynn Cain Rodriguez; his grandsons, Will Costlow (Hannah), and Max Costlow (Kelly); his sister; Susann Cain Heape (Sherwood); and his brother, Edward Allen Cain. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Cain will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Mike Kiser, Benny Phippins, Kenny Dodd, Jerry McDurmon, Steve Turner, and Dave Warriner. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Rockmart Second Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Cain
