Anita Howard

Mrs. Anita Howard, age 74, of Quail Mountain Path Rockmart passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness.


She was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia on December 22, 1936 a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Herman Smith. Mrs. Howard had been a resident of Rockmart since 2005 moving here from Smyrna, GA. She was a homemaker who loved to crochet and play bingo. Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, Don Howard, Sr. on April 24, 2004.


Survivors include two daughters: Terri Howard of Woodstock and Daneen Howard of Rockmart; two sons: Don (D.J.) Howard, Jr. of Rockmart and Ken Howard of Austell; one brother, Walter Lee and one sister Dora Lee; eight grandchildren also survive.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Powder Springs Cemetery with family members delivering eulogies.


Pallbearers will include: D.J., Ken, Alex and Rico Howard, Tony Ingram and Mike Smith.


The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.
